Coming in v1.1 & v2.0

What's Next

StreamRadar v1.0 is live. Here's everything planned for the next releases — bigger discovery, smarter tools, true small-streamer radar, and full YouTube Live support.

Planned for v1.1
New
Feature 01
Popup Window Player

The player opens in a dedicated Chrome popup window — no address bar, no distractions. Control everything from within the player itself.

New
Feature 02
Fresh Start Every Time

Every time you open the extension popup, filters reset to defaults. Your favorites and feed state are preserved — just the search fields clear.

New
Feature 03
Random vs Favorites Mode

Switch between discovery mode and a dedicated Favorites feed that only shows your starred streamers — when they're live.

New
Feature 04
Multi-Game Preferences

Enter up to 4 games at once and StreamRadar rotates through streamers playing any of them — like a playlist for live content.

New
Feature 05
Game Autocomplete

Start typing a game name and a dropdown of matching live categories appears instantly — no more guessing exact spelling.

Foundation Feature
Feature 06
🔌 Stream Indexer + Wildcard Mode

The biggest v1.1 feature — and the foundation everything else builds on. A background indexer continuously maps small streamers across all of Twitch, making true small-streamer discovery possible regardless of game or tag.

Coming in v2.0
Version 2.0
Feature 07
YouTube Live Support

StreamRadar was built from day one with YouTube Live in mind. The backend architecture, normalized stream objects, and player are all designed to support a second platform. v2.0 brings YouTube Live into the rotation alongside Twitch.

Version 2.0
Feature 08
Microsoft Edge

Edge runs on the same Chromium engine as Chrome — StreamRadar requires virtually no code changes to run on it. Available on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.

Version 2.0
Feature 09
Firefox

Firefox uses a similar but distinct extension system. StreamRadar's code will be adapted to run on Firefox and published to Mozilla Add-ons (addons.mozilla.org).

v1.0 Known Limitations — Fixed in v1.1
What you may notice in v1.0 What's happening Fixed in
Searching by tag (e.g. DropsEnabled) requires a game to also be selected Tag-only searches work best once the stream index is in place Feature 06 — Indexer
Wildcard mode works best above ~1,000 viewers in v1.0 The stream index unlocks true small-streamer wildcard across all categories Feature 06 — Wildcard
Leaving the game field blank with a very low viewer cap may return few results The stream index makes this fully reliable regardless of viewer range Feature 06 — Indexer
The player page shows a URL in the browser address bar The new dedicated popup window removes the address bar entirely Feature 01 — Popup Window
